Programme Description

Joint Degree Programme between CULS and BOKU

Natural Resources Management and Ecological Engineering (NARMEE) is a new joint degree program following the double degree program in Natural Resources and Environment (NRE) which has been successfully taught in cooperation with BOKU Vienna. The program is drawn up to enable students to obtain the best level of knowledge and skills by taking specific subjects at CULS or BOKU and combining them. Students can freely choose optional and fully optional subjects from the offerings of both universities.

For students and their future engagement, there are additional important practical subjects focused on the protection and remediation of soils, wastewater treatment, GIS, or management of protected areas. The program contains practicum, excursions, and semestral projects.

The Diploma thesis (DT) has to be completed under the supervision of the supervisor of the home university and co-supervisor from the partner university. Defense of the DT takes place at the home university in front of the commission composed of teachers from both universities.
