Programme Description

The Master is divided into three main thematic areas: Italian Language / Italian Literature and Comparative Arts, History and Civilization, on a "holistic" training path that promotes the encounter of knowledge generally taught in different fields, separated by disciplinary boundaries. Italian literature, the central theme is so proposed in constant comparison with the civilization context within which it is produced and studied.

The faculty includes internationally renowned specialists and affirmed prestige in research. Learning is favored by the Italian-speaking, open to multilingualism, and the ideal study conditions at the University of Italian Switzerland. The course identifies several professional outlets , in addition to the opportunity to continue with a doctorate in research: the teaching of Italian, its language and civilization, in the schools of Switzerland, and not only; Bibliographic and archivist training for Libraries and Archives; Knowledge of the ways and forms of preservation of artistic artifacts and heritage for the management of museums and the legacy of "collective memory".
