The specialization is chosen during the first semester of studies; specialization classes start from the second semester of studies. The specialty will be launched if at least 50 candidates apply for it.
A graduate of the second-cycle studies in the field of management, demonstrates in-depth and extended knowledge of management and complementary disciplines, as well as specialist knowledge relating to individual management functions. The graduate has the ability to critically analyze, interpret and evaluate economic and social phenomena on various scales, in particular the ability to make decisions and plan on the scale of enterprises and institutions of a different nature. Has strategic management skills. The graduate has the skills to organize teamwork and lead teams as well as to effectively communicate, negotiate and persuade. Has the ability to use the acquired university knowledge in professional work. Graduates have the ability and will to further systematically improve their qualifications.
Employment opportunity
A graduate receiving a master's degree has extensive knowledge and skills necessary to take up professional work on the domestic and foreign market, including self-employment. Master's studies in the field of management ensure the integration of knowledge from various fields, and also develop managerial competences to a high degree. The knowledge and skills acquired during the studies enable the graduate to occupy high managerial positions or positions of highly valued specialists in the management bodies of enterprises and capital groups, non-profit institutions, public administration units at various levels. Second-cycle studies at the Faculty of Management UW educate students in accordance with the needs of the economy and administration and combine university education with the transfer of practical managerial skills.
