The TESOL (Teaching English as a Second or Other Language) pathway through the MA in Education involves six taught modules and a dissertation on a research topic of your choice. Four modules are TESOL specific, including language description, language acquisition and language teaching methodology. In addition there is a TESOL option which gives you the opportunity to focus on a professional specialism such as teaching young learners, your own mother tongue, literature, or English in professional contexts.
