Your International Journalism Experience
You will study a set number of 20-credit modules before taking a 60-credit dissertation project or an individual journalism project in the second part of the course.
Modules include global media, comparative journalism, the digital revolution, risk reporting and professional and promotional writing.
You decide the subject of your dissertation together with a tutor. The dissertation component allows you to write a 20,000-word dissertation or undertake an individual journalism project drawing upon issues and themes developed over the year.
International Journalism Employment Opportunities
In addition to markedly improved writing skills, you will develop abilities around research and speaking, as you build confidence in presenting your ideas in different ways.
Graduates of this course progress to rewarding careers in journalism, media, PR, broadcasting and publishing.
- The typical entry requirement is a first degree in a relevant discipline, normally a lower second (average 55 per cent) or above or equivalent. Overseas students are expected to possess an IELTS score of 6.5
