Walden University's admission requirements vary by program and degree level. Walden enrollment advisors are available to help you with every step of the online application process, from deciding which program is right for you to applying for financial aid. Enrollment advisors can also explain Walden's transfer of credit policy for past educational experience.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Paying for your education can be a challenge, but Walden helps you identify the many funding options that are available to you, including scholarships, grants, and federal and private loans. You can also check with your employer to see if they offer tuition reimbursement for your courses. A Walden enrollment advisor can help you determine which funding options are available to you. Additionally, you can save time and money by transferring credits earned previously. Most Walden graduate programs allow you to transfer up to 50% of your required credits.

If you are interested in earning your doctoral degree or becoming a licensed clinical psychologist, Walden’s MS in Clinical Psychology will give you a solid foundation for your next steps toward those goals. This program offers a Counseling specialization through which you can explore various models of counseling, including group, marriage and family, and substance abuse counseling. Specializations (in addition to the General Program) Counseling California Counseling Note on Licensure The MS in Clinical Psychology degree is not designed to prepare students to become a licensed psychology professional. The MS in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Counseling or California Counseling (for California residents only) is designed to prepare graduates for professional practice at the master’s level. Graduates completing the Counseling or California Counseling specialization may also qualify to sit for licensing exams and meet the academic licensure requirements of some state counselor licensing boards.
