Hagan School of Business, Iona College

The Hagan School of Business, commitment to Catholic Higher Education in the Christian Brothers' Tradition coupled with our AACSB -- International accreditation assures that the student is at the core of everything we do. Our rich heritage affirms our commitment to academic excellence, intellectual inquiry, and the values of justice, peace and service to others. We seek to develop confident, competent and complete professionals who will be involved in both local and global communities in service to others.

The academic and intellectual development of our students is the focus of Hagan's 38 full-time faculty who are organized into five departments: Accounting; Finance, Business Economics and Legal Studies; Information Systems; Management and Business Administration; and Marketing and International Business. Traditional age students choose one of seven different undergraduate majors leading to a Bachelors of Business Administration. Returning adult students, whose classes are offered in the evening on a trimester format, can earn a Bachelor of Science in General Business. Internships are available for students so they can relate real-world experiences to what they have learned in the classroom. Students may take advantage of our study abroad program where they can learn in and about cultures other than ours. The practicing professionals who are invited to campus by a number of very active student organizations are regularly available to talk with students on issues of importance.

The trimester-based, part-time, Master of Business Administration program is designed for students who are working, but seek to continue their education. MBA students may choose from one of five concentrations. In addition, students can earn certificates in International Business or Electronic Commerce as part of their program. Post-masters certificates are also an option for those who have already obtained a masters degree. Classes are offered at our main campus in New Rochelle, NY or at our Rockland Graduate Center in Pearl River, NY. Many classes are offered through distance learning, as well.

The acclaimed MBA program has been recognized by US News and World Report as one of  "America's Best Graduate Schools" in their 2006 edition. This year, Princeton Review recognized Hagan as one of the "Best 237 Business Schools 2006".

The faculty of the Hagan School continuously strive to be excellent teachers. Teaching excellence mandates that faculty have an active scholarly agenda. Faculty scholarship often focuses on student learning or on furthering knowledge in the faculty member's discipline.
