Carlos III University of Madrid recently celebrated its 20th anniversary during the 2009/2010 academic year. While we are a relatively new public institution, we have achieved a reputation for academic and research excellence as well as one of innovation and internationalization which attracts top researchers, faculty and students from Spain and around the world. Carlos III offers a wide range of possibilities for research, teaching or studying on any of our 3 beautiful campuses located near the city of Madrid.

UC3M'sundergraduate program was the first in Spain to be fully adapted to the requirements of the European Higher Education Area (The Bologna Process). The challenging adaptation process allowed us to consolidate our reputation for innovation in teaching and to prove once again our commitment to furthering the quality of higher education and helping students meet the challenges of today and tomorrow; the quality of our graduates speaks for itself in their successful incorporation in the work place. Carlos III University of Madrid consists of three schools: the School of Social Science and Law, the School of Humanities and the School of Engineering situated on three different campuses in Getafe, Leganés y Colmenarejo.

Located in the town of Getafe to the south of Madrid, this campus has two schools: the School of Social Science and Law, and the School of Humanities. The modern campus installations include two libraries, computer rooms in various buildings, audiovisual rooms, recording studios, court rooms, wifi throughout the campus and a sports centres with facilities for basketball, tennis, squash, beach-volleyball and sauna, among others.

Master in Aeronautical Engineering The Master in Aeronautical Engineering (MAE) is the official program of UC3M providing, at a time, full professional accreditation as Aeronautical Engineer in Spain and an internationally-focused high-level education enabling individuals to develop their professional career in all sectors of the aeronautical and space industries, agencies, and research centers. In order to achieve these two goals the MAE syllabus combines a core, covering all fields of Aerospace Technology, with focus on high-potential areas such as Integral Aircraft and Satellite Design, Aeronautical and Space Propulsion, Aerospace Navigation and Control, Experimental Techniques and Advanced Computational Methods. The Master consists of 90 ECTS, including a Thesis, distributed in 3 semesters. Optional extensions of up to 30 ECTS will be available for individuals wishing a deeper specialization or enrolling in a PhD program. The MAE is most adequate for individuals with a BSc-level background in aerospace engineering and, in particular, its syllabus has been built upon the knowledge and experience acquired in the BSc in Aerospace Engineering (BAE) at UC3M. As the BAE, the MAE is imparted totally in English and non-Spanish students and faculty are most welcome. All together, a multinational environment is expected to be created, proper not only of the aerospace industry, but of most innovative fields, professions, and universities. The Spanish Association of Engineers requires professionals from companies in the telecommunications field (major manufacturers of telecommunications equipment or telecom operators) and from other types of companies, institutions or organizations that need qualified personnel to design and maintain their own telecommunications systems. The overall aim of the Master in Telecommunications Engineering is to train professionals who are competent to practice as Telecommunications Engineers. This Master's Degree is geared towards advanced training and enhancing employability. Students who complete the Master in Telecommunications Engineering should be able to address any technological issue in the telecommunications field scrupulously, making use of all the necessary knowledge, skills and perspectives from this academic field. The program offers lectures specifically devoted to learning research methods, suited to carry out a Ph.D. Thesis after the obtention of the present M.Sc. More detailed information on the Ph.D. program The seminars offered in the program are selected attending to the relevance and interest of the research topic. We invite highly reputed and experienced lecturers for the seminars. The studies conclude with the elaboration and public defense of the final M.Sc. Dissertation. The objective of the Master program is to instruct researchers capable of making original contributions to the development of telematics technologies, such as protocol architectures, multimedia management, mobile and broadband networks, communication applications and services, or networked devices and security, to cite some. This Program provides the students with the abilities, aptitudes, and advanced knowledge in Telematic Engineering required for incorporating into the research and development industry, or entering a Ph.D. Program, such as the Doctorate Program in Telematic Engineering, officially approved as excellent by the Spanish Ministry of Education. To achieve this general objective, the following educational objectives are proposed: The students will have sound and deep knowledge in Telematics Engineering technologies, including notions of the state of the art in some of them.
