Introduction

The ISCSP promotes the formation of their students in the areas of Social and Political Sciences, offering graduate education (degree) and postgraduate, second and third level, corresponding to the degrees of Master and PhD. In teaching matrix include the scientific fields of Sociology, Public Administration and Public Policy, Political Science, International Relations, Social Policy, Anthropology, and Social Communication.

Closely with teaching, ISCSP promotes scientific research through its research centers recognized by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) - Centre for Administration and Public Policies (CAPP) and the Eastern Institute (IO) and other centers in the area of ​​Political Science and International Relations, Sociology and Anthropology.

Presentation The MPA - Master of Public Administration It aims to establish itself as an increased supply of the School of Social and Political Sciences in a scientific discipline that triggered its genesis, which marked its development, and has contributed decisively to its statement. Through the MPA, the ISCSP will give knowledge and develop essential skills to perform functions in public administration. The MPA is aimed at all who wish to improve their skills and develop their knowledge of public administration. Anyone who has an undergraduate degree may apply, regardless of scientific training area. The course second cycle MPA is organized into four semesters, totaling 120 ECTS. The curriculum includes 95 ECTS for Nuclear curricular units mandatory in science Public Administration, 10 ECTS for the scientific area of ​​public policy and 15 ECTS for the scientific area of ​​Management. This 2nd cycle of studies is intended to develop and provide to licensees in particular the following powers: Enable trainees to perform management functions in three specific sectors of public administration, as top managers or middle management.
