Degree courses in Law (one cycle) The Faculty of Law in the European University of Rome (Università Europea di Roma) aims to understand the basic principles and fundamental institutions of national legislation and the internal legal system, according to Roman traditions and philosophical analysis of relationship between the individual and the social groups in which he/she develops his/her personality, in view of the historical, social and economic development of modern society, in its European and international dimensions and perspectives. In addition, it allows to develop the analytical skills of legal interpretation and analysis for the concrete application, with mastery of procedural and hermeneutic instruments and full capacity of drafting legal texts in different manners and expressions. The academic activity is based on Christian values of humanistic culture and view of life, considering law as an instrument for reaching the public good, according to the ideals of justice and solidarity. In line with that consideration, lessons and integral training activities will be strengthened, in order to develop individual personality under the shared Christian values. The Faculty will tend to the acquisition of linguistic and informatic skills for the future professional activities, with mastery of modern technologies which incentive transnational relationships. As a part of the training and development program for students, stages and internships will be organized in order to implement the theoretical knowledge in professional experiences and to facilitate the immediate insertion in the world of work and production activities. The principal method of instruction is based on an attractive study in seeking truth and the tension towards a serene life experience, thanks to a deep knowledge of professors and a proactive involvement of students. A training program has been prepared by the Faculty, under criteria inspired by principles of reasonable progressiveness, taking into account logical and historical evolution (from general to particular), as well as the legal method generally proceeds. All students will spend their first two years in studying the basic principles of law, as defined during the different historical periods of the past, in the theoretical-philosophical reflection of the legal researchers and in the definition of institutional basis of society, both public both private law. In the second year, some specific subjects will be studied (i.e. Commercial Law and International Law) and, in the following years, the course will be more detailed, also with regard to criminal law. The Academic program is developed as a method in concentric circles, with the intention to provide the student with a good historical and theoretical culture and also a strong competence in branches of substantial law. In fact, the five years are structured with the idea of introducing all the areas of the legal system, without neglecting any aspect and understanding in depth all the legal procedures, private, criminal and administrative. From the professional point of view the course has two curricula, each of which prepares future graduates to carry out activities in a specific field of work. The curriculum in clinical psychology and community aims to train professionals with specific skills, able to take responsibility to work with methods and tools for assessment and intervention on the person, on interpersonal relationships and groups for prevention, diagnosis, counseling and rehabilitation. In particular, it aims to provide the following skills: High-level planning and operational preparation in the various areas of theoretical and clinical psychology community. Scientific-methodological knowledge and depth of the current theoretical models and intervention. Ability to design and manage own work and research in various fields of clinical psychology and community. Ability to analyze and evaluate data collected from the administration of the test. Design skills in the management and organization of relational environments congruent with the needs of individuals, groups and communities. Ability to assess the quality and effectiveness of interventions. Ability to work and collaborate with other subject areas. Knowledge of the main computer and telematic tools in their specific fields of expertise. The curriculum in psychology of work and organizations aims to train professionals with specific skills and able to operate in full responsibility in various areas of relevance to the methodological and technical tools and the analysis of the psychological and social organizations. Scientific Method is used in documenting how such principles and teachings contributed to the development of civilization. The Master’s degree in History of Christian Civilization aims to give students methods and techniques necessary to: Study the history of Christian civilization and to verify the connections between its development and the cultural values of the Christian message. Acquire advanced knowledge on the historic and cultural identity of Christianity. Conduct a deep analysis of Christian events and characters whose influence on human events was the most significant. Acquire capability of conducting a profound investigation of the history of Christianity and of its influence on the history of populations as well as on the history of Literature and of the Arts.
