Media Design School - The institution

Media Design School (MD.H – ger. Mediadesign Hochschule) is one of the leading universities for media and design in Germany. It educates the offspring of tomorrow in all relevant areas of the media. Students benefit from the special way that the Media Design School is linked with the economy.

The MD.H maintains close relationships with businesses within the media landscape and it is a member of the Association of Private Universities (VHP). In VPH over 40 leading German private universities are organized.

The MD.H is one of the largest private providers of courses and trainings in the fields of new media, games, fashion, media and & communication management and IT. The company sees itself as a driving force. In developing the programs MD.H always considers the current and future demands of the labor market. All existing programs are constantly revised and reshaped around new requirements.

Organising institution

The Mediadesign Hochschule für Medien und Informatik GmbH is the Organizing Institution of Media Design School. The Media Design School comprises three study sites: Berlin, Munich and Dusseldorf with headquarters in Berlin. Mr. Hartmut Bode is the rector of Media Design School, Mr. Arnim Zubke is the School´s chancellor.

The subsidiary Mediadesign Akademie für Aus- und Weiterbildung GmbH, founded in 1968 is the organizing institution of private Mediadesign Fachoberschule Gestaltung (translates into Mediadesign secondary school - a secondary school in the field of design)

State approved and accredited

Since 1st the private Mediadesign Hochschule für Design und Informatik has been in accordance with § 123 para. 1 Berlin Higher Education Act in conjunction with § 70 para. 1 of the Higher Education Act and state approved. In addition since May 10th 2010. The reaccreditation by the Wissenschaftsrat took place on October 10th 2015.

To facilitate the international comparability of degrees a regular re-accreditation of courses of MD.H is being executed by the Central Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (ZEvA). All courses of MD.H have been successfully accredited.

Studying at MD.H

The Media Design School offers a total of six Bachelor's degree programs to. The courses Media Design, Media & Communication Management, Fashion Management, Fashion Design and Digital Film Design - Animation / VFX graduate with a Bachelor of Arts. The Game Design program ends with a Bachelor of Science.

The three Master's programs Media Design, Game Design and Media & Communications Management close each with a Master of Arts.

Any presence degree program at Media Design School are has been accredited by the Central Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (ZEvA).

Primary and Further Education

“The best possible training” – that´s our claim exactely. In addition to university teaching the Media Design School also offers Trainings with IHK graduation for the media designer for digital & print. Evening classes for working people and the summer Media Camp for the younger folks and those that are still young at heart and wanting to test their talent, complete the range of MD.H course offers.

Locations

The Media Design School is represented in Berlin, Munich and Dusseldorf with their own training centers with a total area of ​​12,000 square meters. The sites are equipped with high-quality media technology. In Berlin and Munich there are professionally equipped video and recording studios.
