École des Ponts ParisTech created in 1747 under the name Royal School of Bridges and Roads is a higher education institution training engineers with scientific, technical and general high level.

Training to excellence

These seminars enables them to exercise the functions of high responsibility both within the public and business administration, particularly in the fields of civil engineering, construction, urban planning, transport, the energy, water and urban services.

To drive this ambition, the School builds on its position as a recognized player on the training of engineers with high potential made possible by academic excellence and research excellence (ratings AERES), and more generally by its ability to meet the needs of high-potential executives professional sectors.

The school is indeed in France among the top engineering schools rankings published by the French media are among the top four engineering schools with the Ecole Polytechnique, the Ecole Centrale Paris and Mines ParisTech . Structuring alliances

Since 2007, the School is an engine building in Champs-sur-Marne University Paris-Est (PRES become community universities) who aspires to global visibility on the field "City, Environment and Engineering" . the Université Paris-Est involved as founding members, in addition to school, university Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée and Paris-Est Creteil, the National Veterinary School of Alfort, the top engineering school in electronics and electrical and IFSTTAR.
