THIS PROGRAM 'TAUGHT IN ITALIAN Who should attend: The Master in Design - Innovation and Product for the High Crafts It is open to candidates who have a title of The Level, lasting three years, in the fields of Architecture, Engineering, Fashion and Design. At admission are valued in particular the attitude to laboratory design, knowledge / curiosity than materials and raw materials. It requires knowledge of the delivery of the course language equivalent to Level B2 (CEFR). The Master in Design - Innovation and Product for the High Crafts offers a training course in the classroom in which they develop frontal lectures and project activities, followed and supported by teachers. Within courses they are hosted actors of high-end manufacturing to provide an immersive reading of the production processes of contemporary design product, then connected with the trends of communication and international market. The research and design in the classroom are developed on external client briefs. In the development of the project activities is offered students the opportunity to interact directly with partner companies, business or directly visiting showrooms companies in the production chain but also museums and historic workshops. The teaching is organized in quarters dedicated to specific topic areas of the craft sector, through in-depth critical study of the system (History and Culture area), knowledge of processes and design methods (Design Methods) and knowledge of the product and communication processes the chain (Communication Labs). The Master in Design - Innovation and Product for the High Crafts students develop independent judgment in the selection and definition of the key contents of the value of products, communication skills, ability to develop the content of their own design strategy. Students learn to develop strategies to re-design the product, aimed at re-positioning and promotion of the artifact of craftsmanship on the contemporary market, and technological innovations in manufacturing processes through advanced manufacturing processes (eg. rapid prototyping or interaction technologies). The last part of the training course is dedicated to the development of the final project or thesis project, in collaboration with sector companies, during which each student develops a characteristic of the three themes addressed in previous quarters. The Erasmus Mundus Master Course in Chemical Innovation and Regulation (EMMC ChIR) is a Joint Master course developed by the Consortium of Universities. These are the University of Algarve, the University of Barcelona, the University of Bologna and Heriot Watt University. The Universities in the Consortium have agreed on the following Quality Policy regarding the EMMC ChIR: The mission of the EMMC ChIR is to provide its students with the all tools and knowledge from the scientific, the regulatory and the economic point of view necessary to manage the risks of chemicals responsibly and to meet responsibilities over chemical legislation worldwide. ChIR stakeholders are any institution or individual concerned with the risks of chemical substances over humans and the environment, namely the European Chemicals Agency, the national chemicals regulation bodies, chemical industry companies, and the public in general. ChIR will continuously update its curriculum and structure looking towards the fulfillment of its stakeholders’ expectations by preparing professionals highly competent to deal with the challenges of chemical innovation and safe regulation of chemical substances.
