Course Objectives These are only some of the competencies which the Master aims at developing in candidates: Learn how to develop a new business idea from the concept design to the execution. Learn to introduce and manage innovations in a cost-effective and sustainable way. Identify new market and social opportunities for new and existing businesses. Build your own personal network with managers, investors, designers, entrepreneurs, incubators, and consultants from different industries and countries. Build managerial and organizational skills, and your capability to work in team. Programme Structure The course is entirely taught in English and has a duration of 12 months starting in September, 6 months held at MIP, Milan and 6 months held at Solvay, Brussels. The programme comprises three experiential modules: The ‘New Venture Lab’ where they will have to act as an entrepreneur to create a business model of start-up from scratch. The ‘Innovation-In-Action Lab’ where they will have to act as a business consultant in one established small or medium enterprise. The ‘Corporate Entrepreneurship Lab’ where they will have to act as a team-member taking part in the launch of a new corporate project. For most international specializing masters, MIP offers an intensive Italian language course during the first week of classes. Students have then the opportunity to attend a standard Italian language course (up to 40 hours) along the semester. Admissions Ideal Candidates for the AMIE Programme AMIE is an Advanced Master addressed to young graduates who want to become entrepreneurs or envisage entrepreneurial careers as family business managers; or to join the founding team of a startup; or to work as associates in charge of corporate R&D projects or as consultants to assist companies in the implementation of innovative and creative projects. Career opportunities: Graduates will find an occupation in knowledge-intensive industries, as well as in traditional sectors which are experiencing a transformation process due to innovation. An entrepreneurial approach is being applied in medium and large public and private companies and in the service sector as a way to administer and manage and to allocate resources. Graduates may also apply for positions as project managers in the development of new products and in the management of innovation. The Entrepreneurial Laboratory A qualifying element of this educational path is represented by the “Entrepreneurial Laboratory”, which is a formative context in which the course contents belonging to heterogeneous disciplinary fields are linked in a systematic way, applying didactic learning methods based on problems. In the laboratory the progressively acquired skills are utilized by the students in order to analyze real situations. Please note: This is a trilingual study programme (Italian, German and English).
