The M.S. in Entrepreneurship & Design (ENTD) is a graduate degree program of the Lerner College of Business & Economics and involves partnerships between the Horn Program in Entrepreneurship, the College of Engineering's Department of Mechanical Engineering and the College of Arts & Sciences. The program includes interdisciplinary, experiential courses focused on entrepreneurship, creativity & design and prototyping & new product development. Courses are augmented by enrichment opportunities such as funding competitions, mentoring programs, networking events and a variety of useful resources. Completion of required courses and participation in enrichment activities provides students with the knowledge, skills, connections and access to resources needed to manifest innovation and thrive in a rapidly changing world. The program utilizes a cohort model wherein a select group of students is admitted each year. These students take most of their courses together in a standard sequence which allows for a cohesive learning experience as well as the development of strong relationships with fellow students and program faculty. We are looking forward to welcoming our first cohort of ENTD students for the 2015 - 16 academic year. The ENTD program is designed for full-time participation. This enables completion of the program in 11 months. The first 2 months, July - August, are spent completing online coursework; the remaining 9 months, September - May, are spent on campus to take full advantage of the University’s physical resources. The program is ideal for recent graduates with business, engineering, art, and other degrees who are interested in gaining valuable experience in entrepreneurship and design. Content and deliverables for required courses aim to prepare students to launch startups, drive innovation in established companies, and develop sustainable solutions to social problems. Elective options allow for the exploration of individual interests. The deadline to apply is May 31 or until the cohort is filled. Admission decisions are being made on a rolling basis. [-]
